The Team Behind the Racer

Racing may seem like an individual sport from the outside—a driver in a car, pushing the limits of speed and skill. But behind every racer is a team, a family of people who make it all possible. My team isn’t just about mechanics and engineers; it’s made up of the people who have shaped my journey, supported my dreams, and kept me pushing forward, even when the road is tough.
At the heart of it all is my dad. He’s not just my biggest supporter; he’s my manager, mentor, and the one who makes sure I have every opportunity to succeed. As a single father with a demanding career, he’s had to juggle countless responsibilities to ensure I get the seat time and training I need. He’s the reason I learned early on that racing isn’t just about driving—it’s about business, strategy, and resilience. He’s taught me how to network, how to advocate for myself, and how to push forward no matter what obstacles come my way.
Then there’s all my coaches, from Dario Cangialosi to Tonis Kasemets and of course all the great instructors at the Lucas Oil School! These are the people who refine my technique, sharpen my focus, and make sure I keep improving. They break down every lap, every turn, every small mistake—because in racing, the difference between first place and tenth can come down to milliseconds. They push me to be better, both physically and mentally, ensuring that I’m not just fast, but smart behind the wheel.
My engineers & mechanics play a crucial role too. They’re the ones who fine-tune the car, making sure it’s performing at its absolute best. They translate data into performance, turning my feedback into real changes that can shave time off my laps. In a sport where precision is everything, their knowledge and expertise are invaluable.
But my team isn’t just made up of professionals—it’s also the friends, mentors, and supporters who believe in me. From my fellow racers who push me to be better, to the people who help promote my career and open doors for new opportunities, every single person has played a role in my journey. Even my school friends and teachers who send messages of encouragement remind me why I do this—to inspire others to chase their dreams, no matter the challenges.
Racing may be my passion, but I wouldn’t be where I am today without my team. They are the ones who keep me grounded, keep me moving forward, and remind me that no matter how fast I go, I never do it alone. And I guess my advice to others is...your team is not just the guys wearing the same shirt. They are the the ones that get up and go with you when you need them to.
